Group Classes

We have three age groups for our group classes:

Starfish | ages 3-6

Shark | ages 6-9

Dolphin | ages 9+

 

We have three levels of classes for each age group:

Beginner

This level will begin taking independent breaths, and maintaining basic knowledge of breast stroke and freestyle. By this stage the child must be comfortable independently leaving the island to instructors.

Intermediate

At this level the child should be able to leave the island confidently, swim half of the pool in backstroke, perform a complete breaststroke, and a complete freestyle with side breath. At this level butterflies will be introduced.

Advanced

At this level the child should be able to complete all of the intermediate requirements as well as butterfly stroke without hesitation. This class will be focused on perfecting breath control.

 

Stroke school | Ages 6+

All students should be proficient swimmers and know freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly stroke at a swim team level. Swimmers will be challenged to build their endurance and breath control. This class is usually filled with swimmers prepping for the swim team.
