You should select the appropriate class level for your child based on the following guidelines. If LoveSwimming staff feel your child needs to change levels, they will speak to you after the first lesson.

Please read the following carefully in order to avoid having to change classes.

• If your child is between the ages of 6 months and 2.5 years old, they must enter the Water Babies course. An adult is required to enter the pool with the child for every session.
• If your child is between 2.5 years old and 6 years old but has no swimming or experience, you should register for a Guppies course.

All classes after this point are divided into either Starfish, Sharks or Dolphins, depending on the student’s age.

• If your child is between 2.5 to 6 years old, they should register for a Starfish class.
• If your child is between 6 to 9 years old, they should register for Sharks class.
• If your child is 9 years or older, they should register for a Dolphins class.

How do I know if my child should be in the Guppies class or Beginner Starfish?

The difference between a Guppy and a Starfish is that a Starfish:

• • Is not afraid to enter the water
  • Will listen to instructor directions
  • Can put their face in the water and blow bubbles
